What you buy, in plain language.
The model
You buy a licence for a major version and it's yours in perpetuity. The software is delivered as source, runs on infrastructure you control, and you may adapt it for your own licensed use. A 1.x licence covers every release from 1.0.0 up to, but not including, 2.0.0.
Updates
Every release within your major version family — features and maintenance — is included. A new major version is a new licence: offered, never forced. Your system keeps running either way.
What the licence doesn't allow
Redistribution, resale, relicensing, or publication of the source or modified copies. Doppelganger Labs retains ownership of the original source, the product design, and the research underneath it.
The FDE partner licence
Agencies and implementation teams deploying for their own clients work under a multi-deployment source licence: you adapt and install for a licensed client deployment, and every client deployment consumes a licence. Deployment rights don't include repackaging the source as a competing product. Volume is scoped on a call.
Support
Support lives in our Discord server — dive in and ask. Email works too: hello@doppelabs.com, and a person reads it. Deployment assistance and prioritized troubleshooting are reserved for FDE partners and paid engagements. No response times or SLAs are implied outside a written paid agreement.
